However, the challenge remains to develop practicable solutions and sustainable business models. Against this background, GETEC ENERGIE and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.getec-net.de\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">GETEC net<\/a>are cooperating with students of computer science at the Westf\u00e4lische Wilhelms-Universit\u00e4t (WWU) M\u00fcnster. As part of a project seminar of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.uni-muenster.de\/Informatik.AGRemke\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">&#8220;Safety Critical Systems&#8221;<\/a> working group of Prof. Dr. Anne Remke at the Institute of Computer Science at the WWU, students are developing a prototype. This &#8220;Smart Meter Gateway&#8221; block chain prototype should pave the way for new decentralized business models.
